THE KIDS AND NATURE 

(INDONESIA, 2015)

The project’s orphanages are often located next to nature who plays an important role in the kids life. It’s proven that contact with nature has many benefits for kids and their personal development (Children & Nature by Kellert and Khan). This beach in Savu Sea is very close to Flores orphanage and is an all time favorite for the kids..

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

(NEPAL, 2014)

Dogs and other animals are often around in orphanages. They can play a big role in children’s growth (Totem and Taboo by Sigmund Freud). They are friends, confidants, trustworthy companions who give unconditional love and help kids with their social and emotional connection with others but also with themselves (The child and the animal by Hubert Montagner)…

DINNER IN THE DARK

(CAMBODIA, 2014)

Some orphanages didn’t have access to electricity or others had frequent power outages. It’s often an issue as the Sunset early in these part of the world. Hence, the kids can’t use light freely at night to study. We had to be resourceful to make celebrations happen as this one in Cambodia. With the help of Steven Reinhart, we could help fund a solar panel in Nepal to have constant lighting at night…

A NEW LIFE FOR ASMITA

(NEPAL, 2014)

Asmita arrived in the Nepali orphanage few weeks after the start of our project. Her mother who was very sick and without resources couldn’t take care of her anymore.  She came for help and had to leave her under the care of the orphanage with deep sorrow. It was then heartwarming to see the transformation of this little girl thanks to good nutrition, love and care…

IT’S DAL BHAT TIME

(NEPAL, 2014)

Eating properly with mixed & nutritious food is an important pillar in children’s growth. Unfortunately, it’s often a luxury for many in some parts of the world. The orphanages try to find sustainable solutions to provide the kids with nutritious food despite their limited resources. This Dal Bhat is cooked with vegetable, corns & rice all grown beside the Nepali orphanage so they can be autonomous for their food needs…
